Thursday, November 3, 2011
Luncheon at Noon
Rolling Hills Country Club in Monroe, North Carolina
On Thursday, November 3, the Jesse Helms Center will host a luncheon featuring former White House Aide and current Focus on the Family VP Timothy Goeglein at Rolling Hills County Club in Monroe, North Carolina. Goeglein will speak about the role of faith in politics. The cost of the luncheon is $20. To reserve your tickets for this event online please click here or call the Helms Center at (704) 233-1776, ext 2.
About Timothy Goeglein:
Timothy Goeglein first joined the Bush administration in September 2000. He served as a special advisor to the President and Deputy Director of Public Liaison until February 2008. In 2009, he joined the staff of Focus on the Family as the Vice President for External Relations. His new book "The Man in the Middle" chronicles his life during the Bush administration. Goeglein was one of President Bush’s longest-serving aides, providing a true insider’s look at how religious faith informed and guided a presidency and a nation. Unlike other accounts of the political and policy decisions of the Bush White House released in the years since Bush left office, The Man in the Middle explores in a personal way how the president’s faith – the most important aspect of his life – impacted the decisions he made and how he governed. In his foreword, former White House advisor Karl Rove calls The Man in the Middle “a chronicle worth writing and one well worth reading.”

 | "The Call of the Entrepreneur"
“The Call of the Entrepreneur” follows the lives of three entrepreneurs – a merchant banker, a dairy farmer, and a refugee from Communist China. One risked his savings. One risked his farm. One risked his life. Why do these stories matter? Because how we view entrepreneurs - as greedy or altruistic, as virtuous or vicious - shapes the destinies of individuals and nations.
